Funscrubsinc.com

This is a blog of anyone who wears medical scrubs to work...our mission is to help rid people of unfun scrubs and discover the joy of wearing funscrubs to work. It's also a way for nurses and others who work in health care to connect and talk about life. I'm a new blogger and not a techie so feel free to help me out as we go.

Truly one hundred percent cotton scrubs

Funscrubs were born of the frustration that I felt when I went out to buy scrubs. Not only was it difficult to find 100 cotton scrubs, it was almost impossible to find any sort of variety in style or print.

Although I was a cotton fan, the cotton scrubs that I found were heavy, wrinkled easily and didn't really seem to give me the comfort that I was expecting from a cotton garment.

The cotton poly blends that I tried were lighter weight, btu did not breathe well, and instead of becoming more soft and comfortable with each washing, began to develop an un-natural shine, as well as an interesting "see-through" appearance.

My sister in law, Deb, travels extensively and knew where to find beautiful fabrics and people with the ability to make high quality garments.

From this, came Funscrubs...

High quality fabric, stitching, with colorful, creative, comfortable cotton prints in styles that fit real working health care professionals.

Funscrubs have prices you can afford for a high quality scrub that you will want to wear again and again...

New products coming to Funscrubs...

Hope you're having a great Memorial Day Weekend! Sorry if you have to work ...

We're busy working on adding more new prints, new solid colors for pants and tops and also adding a few new styles.

People have been asking for snap front short sleeve tops...what should we call them?? We have our first prototypes and are open to suggestions. Do you want them to be slightly longer than regular scrub tops, or the same length??

We also have our prototypes for our plus size scrub Jackets.. Both of these products should be appearing on our website in the next month or so.

Trauma Conferences

Funscrubs went to two great trauma conferences in the past week or so. What a great bunch of nurses, and excellent conferences. Hennepin County Medical Center and Methodist Hospital invited Funscrubs to attend their spring conferences. We had a great time meeting lots of new customers and seeing some repeat customers from last year!

It was a true family effort. Deb my sister-in-law and business partner, Sharon, my sis in law and a retired nurse, and my husband Brad staffed the booth with a little help from me.

It's a great way to touch and feel our scrubs, and even try them on. People seem to love our soft fabrics and bright colors. Check them out on our website.

Invite us to your next conference, social event or to your workplace. Just click on the contact us button on our funscrubsinc.com website and we'll be in touch.

Happy Spring. Hopefully it'll stop snowing and feel like spring soon!

Have fun,
Pam, RN at Funscrubsinc.com

Fellow Nurses...Help me sell my scrubs!!

Nursing really didn't prepare me for starting a small business. Deb, my partner, and sis in law has the production of our scrubs figured out, I have learned what nurses like and want. But HOW do we get our name out there so people find our scrubs and order them on-line...

Any nurses out there who have started your own web based business have any ideas?

Check out our website, refer your friends and co-workers too! www.funscrubsinc.com

I'm open for suggestions---

Fleece Lined Surgical Scrub Jackets

Hi,

I'm wondering how many of you have been looking for a warm, comfortable fleece-lined scrub jacket? It can be so cold in the surgical areas... I know that there are some out there, but I've had requests to start making them in Funscrubs. Any suggestions??

Let me know what you think. We use our customer feedback to decide what products to develop next, and what features people would like to see included in the design.

Stay warm!!

Pam
